Exercise

Exercise and energy go together.  Simply by getting more exercise, the heart and lung are stimulated, circulation is booster  And the brain receives more oxygen and nutrition. The hormonal changes that occur during exercise make us feel better. We release happy hormones during physical exertion.

Ideally, body toning exercise should be done everyday, if only for 10 minutes. Stretching exercise keep the body in shape and are best done in the morning, in front of open window, provided that it doesn’t overlook a busy road with hazardous traffic fumes.

If you are not use to exercise start off with something gentle such as t’aichi, Qi gong or yoga, which strengthens the muscles but is not physically demanding.

By choosing nutritious foods you insure that your body receives the vital nutrients it needs to be healthy. Whole foods (unprocessed), rich in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, are the best choice to keep the body fit.  The body, mind and spirit are connected.  When you feed your body healthy foods it is a sign that you care for yourself, that you honor your body as the temple of the soul.  When you make good food choices you nourish the body, mind and spirit.

Guide for Healthy Eating
- Always try to eat sitting down at table and don’t eat alone if you can avoid it.
- Take your tame, enjoy your food and eat regularly three main meals a day at set times with only light snack in between
- Cut down on fat
- Eat more low fat food
- Go for fresh food
- Serve smaller quantities at each meal
- Lower your salt intake

Well balanced diet should include plenty of water, daily portions of fruits and vegetable, bulk food such as pasta and rice and fish or lean meat.

Maintain Weight

Weight is largely determined by the balance between how many calories you consume and the amount of energy you burn in everyday activities.


Overweight is defined as a condition of weighing more that what is ideal for their height and body frame. If a person's weight is 20% or more above their ideal body weight, they are considered obese. Excess weight may come from muscle, bone, fat and/or body water.

Your ideal weight will depend on whether you have a small, medium, or large frame. Make an honest appraisal of your body.

Being overweight can put a significant strain on your health. The heavier you are the greater the long-term health risk. But being overweight is not the only risk to health and being seriously underweight can be even more harmful.

If you are obese or overweight your health is at risk. It is important that you loose weight and develop a healthy lifestyle. There are many weight loss program and it is important to find a program that is fits your needs. Please consult your doctor so he can develop a program that fits your needs.

 A healthy body brings confidence, happiness and physical well-being. Looking after your body is must!

Self Care

 Your body has to an entire lifetime and with some preventive care may last little longer then you expect it to!  A well-maintained body is essential to doing one’s best both work and play. Looking after yourself—taking care your health and paying attention to your body and your physical need is not a sigh of being selfish.
 
On the contrary, taking good care of yourself is the least you can do for your family and friends. People who love you, and those who depend on you, want and need you to be at your best.

Self-care involves the range of activities individuals undertake to enhance health, prevent disease, evaluate symptoms and restore health. These activities are undertaken by lay people on their own behalf, either separately or in participation with professionals.

Self-care includes decisions to do nothing, self-determined actions to promote health or treat illness, and decisions to seek advice in lay, professional and alternative care networks, as well as evaluation of and decisions regarding action based on that advice. However, self-care is not only about making personal decisions about your health and medical care: it is also about taking care of yourself by living a healthy lifestyle.
