Described as a self-improvement technique, The Sedona Method is about addressing the thoughts and feelings that are at the root of the problem, and releasing those thoughts and feelings.

“We are all unlimited, being limited only by the concepts of limitation we hold in mind. So stop being what you are not, a limited mind and a limited body, and just be what you are—an infinite, totally free, grand and flowing being, whole and complete.” Lester Levenson, physician, entrepreneur and architect of The Sedona Method states.

Through audio program and seminars, the consumer is expected to internalize this “belief system”, which includes mantras and questions, and evolving with the process become free of anxieties, neuroses, and phobias and therefore capable of achieving wealth and other forms of success and happiness. The program is not inexpensive, and seems to have appropriated language from myriad religious-philosophical traditions that may appeal to some consumers.

The Sedona Method consists of a series of questions that are marketed to “lead your awareness to what you are feeling” and “gently guide you into the experience of letting go”. Emotional intelligence and Letting Go are two key phrases or concepts in The Sedona Method.

This Method promises that the individual will learn to “Free yourself from emotional trauma like grief, abuse, low self esteem, caretaker syndrome; lose weight, quit smoking, stop gambling; and find lasting inner peace.” These advertised claims are ones that anyone would want to experience.

The Sedona Method goes on to boast that it is a “powerful tool” that can demonstrate how each person can tap one’s natural ability to gently and effectively release or let go of “self-limiting beliefs and feelings”. It claims that it unlocks “potential”.

It advertises as the ideal program for all individuals. Who doesn’t want to achieve financial abundance, improve relationships, and optimize health on a permanent basis? It supposedly has provided relief from the pain of depression and trauma for millions of people worldwide.
